The DocCelerator workshop has proven to be successful development format for documentary makers. For the next edition an extra workshop is scheduled due to a big demand from filmmakers to take part. Instead of the announced one workshop, now two DocCelerator workshops will take place.

What was originally scheduled to be the second edition of DocCelerator in early September has evolved into the second and third edition of the workshop, taking place on August 27-28 and September 1-2. Instead of selecting the planned six documentary project teams, there are now 11 teams selected for the two workshops.

The projects selected for this second and third DocCelerator editions spans 11 countries over three continents and represent a wide variety in filmic approaches and themes spanning personal investigations of love, passionate historical narratives and political conflicts. The selected projects are:

DocCelerator is a documentary training initiative launched by Paradiddle Pictures, providing documentary makers detailed feedback on projects in development. This includes building stronger character development, defining solid narrative arcs and structuring dramatic development.

DocCelerator will save selected participants many hours of working and much money in production expenses. With a more focused narrative structure, it can save hours of recordings not fitting to the film and many days of expensive editing. The essence of DocCelerator is to invest in the development in order to save on the production. The workshop is run by Geoffrey Smith and Ove Rishøj Jensen.
