The Thessaloniki Pitching Forum is the new co-production and co-financing platform of the Thessaloniki Documentary Festival. Ove Rishøj Jensen is collaborating with the festival in programming and conducting this first edition of the forum.

Following the cancellation of the Thessaloniki Documentary Festival, earlier this week, the Thessaloniki Pitching Forum has been adapted to an online event.

Through video meetings, the selected participants will have the opportunity to get feedback on their project. This will happen during a two-day online workshop and pitch preparation by experienced international tutors. The pitching of the projects will still take place as scheduled, on Monday, March 9. Now the one-day pitching session to international documentary players will happen through a video conference.

This first edition of the Thessaloniki Pitching Forum has been established as a forum for creative documentaries in forms of cinema, TV or interactive productions. It gives priority to documentary projects from Southeastern Europe, Eastern Mediterranean countries and the Middle East. During the forum the selected teams will pitch to a wide selection of broadcast commissioners, sales agents, film funds and festival programmers in order to find funding and distribution opportunities.
