SELECTION FOR DocCeleratorStory IN JUNE


On June 4-5 the final DocCelerator in the Spring 2024 season is taking place. Six project teams have been selected to take part.  


DocCelerator is an online project-based workshop format, helping filmmakers define and develop key structural narrative elements of their documentary story. 


The six projects selected for this edition of DocCelerator spans filmmakers from seven different European countries and has a large variety in terms of topics and filmic approach. These are the six documentary teams selected to take part: 


  • The Last Rebels Director & Author Martina Scalini, Author Lorenzo Bertolesi. Producer Gianluca De Angelis, Tekla, Italy


  • Enough Is Enough Director Shane Caffrey. Producer Daniel Hegarty, Marmalade Films, Ireland. 


  • Marco Lusini Untitled Project Director Laura D’Asta, Italy/UK. 


  • Dara Director Gökcan İlbay. Producer Cem Tümdağ, Turkey. 


  • Smoke on the water Director & Producer Peter Triest. Producer Ilja Roomans, Docmakers, The Netherlands.


  • The Soul of Epirus Director Yorgos Arvanitis. Producer Stelios Apostolopoulos, AORI Films, Greece. 

 

This is the 33rd edition of DocCelerator, which is the series of stand alone documentary workshops launched by Paradiddle Pictuctures in May 2020. Each workshop is two days and can accommodate up to six selected project teams. Now more than 300 documentary makers have taken part.
